The Book Thief – Schema C: Language

Now that you are developing your own bank of quotations framed by the schema we have devised as a class, it is also time to start to explore how these quotations will be able to be used to drive our analysis of the novel.

In pursuit of this, Campbell offered a quotation for our analysis in relation to language and we built, as a class, an exemplar paragraph to expand on the possible effect of the language technique – in this case, personification.

You are now invited to select one of your own quotations and make an attempt at generating a similar analytical response – concentrating on how the choice of language technique strengthens a particular idea.
